Another year. Another PromoStandards Tech Summit with a growing number of attendees. A few years ago, the focus was on adoption. This year, refinement.
The question isn’t whether PromoStandards works. It does. The real question is whether it’s implemented consistently.
Across sessions and conversations, the theme was clear: most integration friction comes from ambiguity — inconsistent Part IDs, unclear documentation, undocumented rate limits, endpoints that behave slightly differently than expected.
The release of the Best Practices self-assessment for suppliers reflects that shift. It’s simple, but meaningful. If suppliers run it seriously, downstream integrations get cleaner. There was also progress around validation tooling, credentialing, event subscriptions, and the next iteration of product data. Nothing dramatic. Just tightening execution.
What’s new at eXtendTech?
Our focus this year has followed the same path: refinement.
We released an update for our PromoStandards Distributor Edition SuiteApp that included Order Status 2.0 and Order Shipping Notification 2.0, simplified configuration of the Purchase Order Service, and delivered multiple enhancements and performance improvements.
On the Supplier side, in our PromoStandards Supplier Edition SuiteApp, we are finalizing outbound Order Status 2.0 and Order Shipping Notification 2.0, along with continued enhancements to add functionality and reliability in production environments.
If you are a branded merch company looking to improve your NetSuite experience to increase efficiency & reduce costs, let’s have a conversation.
